D.T: Sewing.

The children have been practising sewing skills this week in preparation for their puppet making. It was tricky at first, but with perseverance and determination the children were all able to complete  running and over stitching. Fantastic!

English: Inferential comprehension.

In English this week the children have been reading ‘Jack and the Baked Beanstalk’, which is an alternative to ‘Jack and the Beanstalk’. They answered retrieval questions followed by inference questions. Great work everyone!

Computing: Digital drawings.

In computing this week the children have been using a digital drawing programme to create an image of what essential items they would take on a trip to space. Did you know that it costs approximately £7000 to take a bottle of water into space?

English: Black rhino non-chronological report.

The children have worked really hard this week writing a non-chronological report on the critically endangered black rhino. The children researched some facts and used different sub-headings to record this information. Did you know the collective name for a group of rhinos is a ‘crash’?

Maths: 2D shape hunt.

The children have been looking for 2D shapes in the environment. Well done for spotting so many. How many 2D shapes can you name? What are their properties?

Computing: Planning a Stop Motion animation.

The children have been planning their own space animation this week.  They chose a space scene and space objects, then using a story planning sheet, planned their animation. The children are excited to create it next week!
